SSC CGL
SSC CGL stands for Staff Selection Commission Combined Graduate Level Examination. It is a major national-level competitive examination conducted by the Staff Selection Commission for recruiting eligible graduates to various Group B and Group C posts in Ministries, Departments, and Organisations of the Government of India, along with notified Constitutional Bodies, Statutory Bodies, and Tribunals. Through SSC CGL, candidates may be considered for posts in administration, taxation, audit and accounts, investigation, statistics, postal services, and other Central Government departments. Depending on the recruitment cycle, posts may include Assistant Section Officer, Income Tax Inspector, Assistant Enforcement Officer, Sub-Inspector, Auditor, Accountant, Postal Assistant, Sorting Assistant, and other notified positions. The examination is conducted through two computer-based tiers. Preparation commonly covers General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, English Language and Comprehension, Mathematical Abilities, Computer Knowledge, and Data Entry Speed Test requirements. Certain specialised posts may have additional qualification or examination requirements. The SSC CGL section on ExamStack is designed to help candidates prepare through structured study material. Students can access subject-wise notes, topic-wise MCQs, previous-year questions, practice sets, mock tests, short revision resources, and exam-focused guidance. Candidates should build strong fundamentals, practise questions regularly, improve calculation speed and accuracy, revise current and static General Awareness, strengthen English comprehension, and attempt timed mock tests according to the official examination pattern. A bachelor’s degree from a recognised university or institution is generally required. However, educational qualifications, age limits, physical or medical standards, post preferences, and other eligibility conditions may differ by post. Candidates should always verify the latest official SSC CGL notification before applying.
